From Rupert’s journal: “I originally intended to study a universal school of magic when I came to the Academy, despite my father’s insistence that I study something with a more ‘practical application.’ I should have been able to predict that he would lean on the Bursar, but I could never have predicted that the program would be removed from the university wholesale! Fine. Practicality it is. But that doesn’t mean that I cannot have fun while studying the more ‘practical’ schools of magic.” -Rupert von König, heir to a self-important buffoon
